  1. ANGOLA

  2. BOTSWANA

    There are three main options for legal registration for non-profit organisations in Botswana. The first is a company limited by guarantee under the Companies Act of Botswana, which allows the organisation to operate like a business without distributing profits to its members.     To register a non-profit in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Law No. 004/2001 of 20 July 2001 makes provisions for registration.   7. MAURITIUS

  10. SOUTH AFRICA

  11. TANZANIA

  12. ZAMBIA

    Registration of philanthropic entities in Zambia is governed by the Non-Governmental Organisation Act (amendment) of 2020.   13. ZIMBABWE

    There are three options to registering a non-profit in Zimbabwe which are the Private Voluntary Organisation (PVO) way guided by the PVO Act (Chapter 17:05), the Trust way guided by the Trust deeds and the Universitas way guided by the common law universitas. Registration as a PVO is done through the Department of Social Welfare under the Ministry of Public Service Labour and Social Welfare.
